POSITION AVAILABLE: Assistant Nurse
JOB STATUS: Full-Time
INITIAL BUILDING ASSIGNMENT: Maumee Middle School
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid State of Ohio LPN or RN license.
2. Valid driver’s license.
3. Experience working with children and adolescents.
4. Technology experience and willingness to learn new technologies.
5. Possess basic clerical skills including alphabetizing, filing, record keeping, and typing.
6. Demonstrate the ability to work in cooperation with students, adults, and the general
public.
7. Ability to function independently.
8. Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record.
9. Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers,
students, parents, and community.
10. Possess a tolerant and pleasant personality under sometimes demanding work
situations.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with health screenings as required by the State of Ohio.
2. Respond to accidents and health emergencies and administer first aid when needed.
3. Dispense medication to students as needed.
4. Coordinate with the building administration to implement policy on exclusion and
re-admission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases.
5. Oversee building cumulative health records on students and consult on other
health-related records as needed.
6. Prepare and submit reports for the superintendent and other agencies as required.
7. Assist with IAT and IEP meetings and participate in multi-factored evaluation teams for
students with health or medical issues.
COMPENSATION: Wages and fringe benefits based on negotiated agreement.
